Still working my way through M.F.K. Fisher’s collected books. I finished Serve it Forth a few days back and began Consider the Oyster.
I loved the essay “Consider the Oyster” enough to read it twice back to back, then aloud. It contains some of the most charming prose I’ve ever read. I’m not sure, though, that I’m going to be able to finish an entire volume of essays focusing entirely on oysters. I’ll let you know how it goes.
